The film reveals what the "Profession railroader" is. Twelve railwaymen of various specialties tell us about the profession and their attitude to work. We can see 24 hours of life of the railway shown through 12 occupations in 4 regions of Western Siberia. Each hero talks about his personal attitude to the profession during the working days
