Target: Dialog Me — is a social action aimed to provide conditions for comfortable communication between the Russians and foreigners during large international events. The action was first realized in the FIFA 2018 World Cup environment. Aims: - give help to foreign tourists and guests of RF in everyday situations, involving residents of the Russian Federation who speak this or that foreign language; - enhance intercultural understanding; - involve social-minded citizens into social projects

Dialog Me is a social action aimed to provide help to foreigners in different everyday situations during large international events. The citizens who speak any foreign languages are welcome to become language volunteers. Using one of the ways developed by the authors of the project, namely, a badge, a sticker, a cap, or a ribbon bearing Dialog Me logo and a symbol of a certain language they demonstrate their willingness to help and access-for-all availability. This is how it worked during the FIFA 2018 World Cup. Imagine a fan from Argentina has got lost. He is looking for a passer-by to address his question realizing that few people in Russia speak Spanish. And he comes across a person with a Dialog Me logo bearing the Spanish flag and they start communicating. Our friend from Argentina gets help. The Action Realization: 1) The site in Russian, English, Spanish, German and French was created: dialog-me.com 2) Different attributes in English, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese were issued. 3) The information campaign was launched in Facebook on the first day of the World Cup, calling for the Russians who speak foreign languages to take part in the action. 4) Pickup points with free of charge Dialog Me attributes were set in several cities hosting the World Cup. Besides, the project site provides an access to download the badge pattern: you choose a language, download the pattern, print it, cut it out, fix it on your clothes and you become an action participant. 5) Volunteers gave out flyers with the information about the action in Russian to attract language volunteers and in foreign languages to explain the tourists who language volunteers are. 6) The action relished the media attention: TV and radio programs, publications in the internet press. 7) In total about 100 thousand of Russian people took part in the action. The project is universal as it can be used during any international event, moreover, not only in Russia but in any country of the World.
