MTS. Children on the Internet Deasign Russia
Task
Children on the Internet is a federal project created by MTS company in 2011 specially for younger schoolchildren. The project includes lesson on safe and useful Internet and an exhibition that travels around the country. We had to update the project: create a presentation for the lesson, come up with a conception for exhibition, design interactive installations for it and provide printed materials.
Ideas and solutions
Lesson with its visual presentation is the main source of information about the Internet, and children are the audience that requires special approach. In order to make the lesson not only useful, but also interesting, we created presentation that resembled an exciting comics with Internetty and Mathias as main characters. Lesson was followed by an interactive exhibition, where they could solidify the obtained knowledge through play. Children moved from station to station and performed characters’ tasks, which were already familiar thanks to the lesson. At the station of superhero called Antivirus, children could play light hopscotch and help to defeat viruses. At the end of the route, there was an interactive installation that children not only could but were encouraged to touch.
