Childhood of Champions Deasign Russia
Task
Gazprom Neft Cup is an international tournament for 11-year-old hockey players. At the tournament, boys get their first experience of big sports competitions. The task is to interest the audience in youth hockey and to draw their attention to Gazprom Neft Cup competition.
Ideas and solutions
In collaboration with sports channel "Match TV", we created a special project called "Champions’ childhood" and, based on the example of current hockey stars, showed that road to championship begins in childhood. The project included interviews with successful Russian hockey players’ parents. Each material was supported by pictures from family archives and unknown facts about Alexander Ovechkin, Kirill Kaprizov, Nikita Kucherov, Vladimir Tarasenko, Alexander Barabanov, Vlad Gavrikov, Alexey Marchenko and Anton Lander’s childhood. Thanks to the project, more than 200 000 people learned about the tournament
